Our 50th Birthday Celebration

Our 50th birthday celebration  Schubertiad 309, Long Live Schubert, was held at the Goethe-Institut on Sunday, October 12th 2003. We finished a fabulous concert with a party.

The program was a wonderful smorgasbord of Schubertian delights together with masterly works by Mozart & Haydn:

• Franz Schubert: German Dances, Six Eccossaises for Solo Piano
• Franz Schubert: Hungarian Divertissement for piano 4 Hands
• Franz Schubert:  Songs (Im Frühling; Am Bach im Frühling; Der Wanderer; Der Schiffer)
• Joseph Haydn: Deutsche Tänze for 2 violins & 'cello
• Franz Schubert: Five “Deutsche” with Coda and Seven Trios for  Strings D 90
• Franz Schubert: Songs (arr. For 2 violins)
• W.A. Mozart: Minuetts.

The artists were well-known Sydney musicians Jeanell Carrigan, Belinda McGlynn (piano), Goetz Richter (violin), Manu Berkeljon (violin), Heather Lloyd (viola), Sarah Biber ('cello), David Greco (baritone).
