Maree Ryan, Vocal Teacher

Maree Ryan MMus (AppResMusPerf) DSCM LMusA is Chair of Vocal Studies and Opera at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and widely recognised as one of Australia's leading vocal teachers, specialising in recital and opera repertoire.

She studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music herself and joined the faculty in 1980.

During her career as a vocal specialist, her studio of singers includes a number of professional singers in Opera Australia and on the professional circuits of Europe and America.

As a performer, Ms Ryan’s work covers all styles and genres and she has performed in opera, oratorio and recital, as well as for radio and television.

As a soloist, she has worked with many leading orchestras, in particular the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, under many national and international conductors.

Maree was a presenter at the Schubertiade 327.
